Peterborough United have seen attacking midfielder Klaidi Lolos depart on a season-long loan to League One rivals Rotherham United. The move was confirmed by Rotherham in an official statement this week.

Lolos, 25, joined Peterborough last summer but made just 13 appearances for the club. He now heads to the New York Stadium seeking more regular first-team football. His departure comes as Peterborough sit 17th in the League One table, having taken four points from their opening four matches. Their recent form reads DLWL, with just two goals scored and seven conceded so far this season.

Klaidi Lolos began his senior career with Plymouth Argyle. He then had spells with Torquay United and Bolton Wanderers before a first stint at Crawley Town. He returned to Crawley on loan for the second half of last season, scoring once in 12 appearances. His move to Peterborough United last year was intended to be a step forward, but opportunities were limited.

Rotherham United also secured Huddersfield Town forward George Sebine on a separate season-long loan. Sebine, who has had loan spells at Guiseley and Curzon Ashton, scored his first senior goal for Huddersfield on the final day of last season's League One campaign. He had featured twice for the Terriers this term before this move. Huddersfield currently lead the League One table, putting Peterborough six points behind the early pace-setters.

The loan exit of Lolos reduces options in the attacking midfield area for manager Darren Ferguson. It follows a challenging start to the season which has seen the team struggle for goals. The club has found the net only twice in four league games. Defensive issues are also apparent, with a negative five goal difference. Attention now turns immediately to a tough home fixture against Sheffield Wednesday. The Owls visit London Road on Saturday, September 5th, sitting second in the League One table. This presents a significant test for Peterborough as they look to climb from their current 17th-place position. All upcoming matches are listed on our fixtures page. The loan deal for Klaidi Lolos to Rotherham United runs for the remainder of the campaign.
