Peterborough United's former captain, Martin, is reportedly in advanced talks to become the next Leicester City manager. This comes after Gary Rowett's departure. Martin has a successful track record, including steering Southampton to promotion from the Championship. Foxes owner Aiyawatt 'Top' Srivaddhanaprabha is said to be an admirer of Martin's style of play, which closely resembles the one which Enzo Maresca brought to the King Power Stadium in the 2023/24 season when Leicester won promotion back to the Premier League. Martin made 66 appearances for Posh between 2008 and 2010 before moving to Norwich City. He was part of the Posh team that won automatic promotion from League One as runners-up to Leicester City. If Martin takes the job he will clash with Posh boss Luke Williams. The pair worked together at MK Dons and Swansea. Leicester are 5-2 clear favourites to win League One with Sky Bet next season. Posh are 40-1. The Foxes have already sold over 22,000 season tickets for the 2026-27 campaign.
