Peterborough United look set to miss out on Colchester United forward Kyreece Lisbie, with fresh reports suggesting other clubs have now moved ahead of Posh in the race for his signature. The 22-year-old has been heavily linked with a switch to London Road since January, but the picture now appears to have changed, with Oxford United and another unnamed League One club reported to have made improved bids. He was named Colchester's Young Player of the Season after registering 11 goals and eight assists in all competitions across 51 appearances, a strong return in his first full senior campaign. The forward joined Colchester from Brentford B in February 2025, having previously come through the youth systems at Leyton Orient and Watford. He also had a spell with Cray Valley Paper Mills, where both he and Kyrell began rebuilding their careers after leaving Orient. His progress has been watched closely at Peterborough, not least because of the family connection. Lisbie has reportedly been seen at Posh matches during the season when Colchester did not
