Peterborough United have officially announced their squad numbers for the 2026/27 season, with several notable changes ahead of the new League One campaign. The club, finishing 18th in League One last term with 53 points (15W-8D-23L), have shuffled their numbering system as they prepare for the challenges ahead.
Who has switched numbers?
Captain Sam Hughes has moved from No. 6 to No. 5, while Harley Mills and Lucca Mendonca have taken up new numbers, 14 and 18 respectively. Up front, Harry Leonard now wears the coveted No. 9 shirt, previously held by Bradley Ihionvien, who is currently on loan at Colchester United.
The No. 4 shirt remains vacant following Archie Collins’ departure, and the No. 10 jersey is also unassigned, with Harrison Jones, Patryk Sykut, and Chris Conn-Clarke not handed the number.
Which players are yet to receive numbers?
Matt Garbett and Rio Adebisi have not been allocated squad numbers as they continue their recovery from injury. Both players can be assigned numbers once they return to full fitness, giving manager Darren Ferguson flexibility in his squad selection.
