Christopher Conn-Clarke's late header secured a 1-1 draw for Peterborough United away to Milton Keynes Dons. The result leaves the Posh 21st in League One with five points from six matches, eight points adrift of leaders Sheffield Wednesday.
Aaron Collins had put the hosts ahead with his fifth goal of the season in the 29th minute. Peterborough's substitutions were credited with changing the game, and Conn-Clarke found the net with a header five minutes from time to snatch a point.
How the match unfolded
MK Dons started brightly and could have been further ahead by halftime. Peterborough improved after the break, with the introduction of fresh legs making a significant impact. The hosts' defender Charlie Goode, who missed the previous game against Wycombe, made a vital clearance in the second half to keep his side in front temporarily.
Jane Russell, reporting on the match, said it was "a frustrating end to the game for MK Dons as they let the lead slip at the death." She noted that MK Dons goalkeeper Will Dennis recovered from an early mix-up with teammate Curtis Nelson to put in a calm performance.
The draw extends Peterborough's recent form to one win, two draws and two losses in their last five outings.
Peterborough's next match is at home against 24th-placed Doncaster on Saturday, 19 September.
