Peterborough United defender, Okagbue, completed his June international programme by keeping a clean sheet against Qatar U23s. On the day that a number of his teammates returned to the club's training ground for fitness testing, Okagbue was in Zagreb representing his country. He played 90 minutes as Ireland dominated the possession but failed to find a breakthrough against Qatar U23s and the game finished 0-0. Okagbue was an unused substitute on Saturday as Ireland drew 2-2 with Croatia. That match concluded Ireland's June fixtures and Okagbue will now have a break before returning to training with Posh. Meanwhile, Matt Garbett gets his World Cup campaign underway on Tuesday (June 16) as New Zealand host Iran at 2am UK time. Garbett is hopeful of starting the game, which will likely have the eyes of the world on it. The game takes place in Los Angeles with political tensions between the US and Iran remaining high. All tickets for travelling Iran fans were cancelled on Tuesday.
