Peterborough United midfielder Garbett is set to start for New Zealand against England in an international friendly match. The match will be played on Saturday, and it will be Garbett's 38th senior cap. Garbett won his 37th senior cap after coming on as a 53rd minutes substitute when his side were already 2-0 down in their previous match against Haiti. New Zealand manager Darren Bazeley is expected to ring the changes after his side's disappointing 4-0 defeat to Haiti. Garbett could get his chance to impress against a side which could include Jude Bellingham, Declan Rice, and former Posh striker Ivan Toney. England play Costa Rica in their final warm-up game on Wednesday, June 10 (9pm). England lost their last friendly 1-0 at home to Japan. They have played New Zealand twice before winning away from home 1-0 and 2-0 in games played in quick succession in June, 1991. Saturday's match will be screened live on ITV 1. England start their World Cup Finals campaign against Croatia (9pm kick off BST) on Wednesday, June 17 before tackling Ghana on Tuesday, June 23 (9pm) and Panama on Saturday, June 27 (10pm). New Zealand start against Iran on June 16 (2am BST) before taking on Egypt on June 22 and Belgium on June 27. Posh centre-back David Okagbue could also be in international action on Saturday. The 22-year-old is in the Ireland squad to take on Croatia tomorrow (4.30pm) and Qatar on Tuesday, June 9 (2.45pm). Both games take place in Zagreb.
