Peterborough United's most successful manager, Darren Ferguson, has been linked with a job in League Two. Ferguson has won promotion twice with Posh and has obvious links to Salford, who are part-owned by Old Trafford stars Sir David Beckham and Gary Neville. Salford surprisingly sacked former MK Dons boss Karl Robinson after he led them to a fourth-place finish in the fourth tier last season. Salford lost the play-off final 3-0 to Notts County at Wembley. Ferguson, the son of legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, has obvious links to Salford who are part-owned by Old Trafford stars Sir David Beckham and Gary Neville. Ferguson junior is a former United player. Ferguson has won promotion twice from League Two with Posh in 2007-08 and with Doncaster Rovers in 2016-17. His fourth-spell at Posh ended with the sack after a home defeat to Blackpool last October. Ferguson was linked with the vacant Leicester City job earlier in the summer.
